Nickel Size Spongy Lumps On Shins, Indentation, Splints. What Is It?
I have had nickel size spongy lumps on both shins. I remember them as a child. Flexing the toes upward makes them sink in. Running my thumb over them I feel an indention. Standing pops them out. I get shin splints very easily. Otherwise no pain. My daughter has them. My step daughter has one and her Dad has on both legs. Our other children do not. I occasional see others with the lumps. Can u telle what this is?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The small compressible lumps that you have noticed are likely to be due to shin splints. If these are painless then no active treatment is needed right now. These can be treated with rest and pain killers. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
