Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if you have swelling on either side under the jaw it seems to be related to either submandibular Salivary Gland or can be swollen submandibular group of lymph nodes..
In case if it is due to thyroid it would be a midline swelling around Adam's apple and not on either sides under the jaw..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you get an ultrasound or cross section x ray of the glands to rule out for the exact cause of swelling..
In case if it is due to swelling in lymph nodes it can be due to infection in Oro- pharyngeal region..
In case if it is due to Salivary Gland it has to be ruled out that it is whether due to obstruction in the duct of Salivary Gland or Salivary Gland infection..
In case if it is due to lymph nodes antibiotics and Anti-inflammatory painkiller can help..
If it is due to obstruction in the duct of Salivary Gland removal of same either manually if it is manual or surgically if it is deep..
Infection in salivary gland can be treated with antibiotics..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
