Need To Worry About Burning Sensation After Dog Scratched Ankle?

Hello Doctor, Today morning a street dog has scratched me with its nails. I could see a red spot on my ankle. I washed it off using soap and water thoroughly. The dog is healthy from long time. Right now there is a slight burning sensation on the wound. Do I need to worry? Please advise!
Thank you!

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The dog bit should be considered with healthy life of the dog bitten for 15 days.Though it is healthy it should be healthy and living for 15 days after the bite.
If it is a stray dog,it is advisable to have an anti rabies vaccine in spite of its health.
If it dies, or become ill in 15 days,it is a must to have the full course of the anti rabies vaccine.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
