HELLO , IM HAVING UNBELEIVABLE PAIN IN MY RT HIP, IM TOLD BY MY DOC THAT I NEED A HIP REPLACEMENT. MY PROBLEM IS THAT IM 100% COMM AND WORK AT MY DESK. I HAVE ONE WEEKS VACATION AND COULD MAYBE TAKE A SECOND WEEK OFF FOR FOR RECOVERY, BUT ANY LONGER COULD BANKRUPT ME. IS IT POSSABLE TO BE BACK TO WORK IN TWO WEEKS
if there is an indication for hip replacement then there may not be short cuts and 3 weeks is normal time to do sedentry permissible work with guarded movement.yes youmay defer surgery under cover of pain killers butthing that is inevitable cannot be avoided for long.however you may seek second opinion with a hip surgeon to evaluate the necessity or alternative to surgery
