Need Medication For Pain Under The Rib Due To Removal Of Gallbladder
I am having terrible pain on my right side just under or at the bottom rib. I have had my gallbladder removed thinking that would help but it has not. My drs have done a ct scan, blood work & an endoscopy which all of them showed nothing. One thing, I was told after my gallbladder surgery was that at some point my liver had turned up & adhered itself to the back of my ribs. He stated that he had never seen anything like this before & that this could possibly have been what was hurting me but he also took my gallbladder out because it was inflamed. I am still in a tremendous amount of pain, the only relief I have is when I am doped up with pain meds & I DO NOT like that. I feel this is just covering up the problem & not solving it. Can u possibly give me some direction to go or to give my dr a direction to seek? Thank u for any help u can give me.
Hi I would advise a CT Scan of upper abdomen. It will show up if the liver is adgerent to ribs and this pull is causing the pain. If so, I am afraid laparoscopic resection of adherent part and freeing the liver is the only answer--regards
