I just had MRI show level of c5-c6 demonstrates central left paracentral disc protrusion t2 hyperintense disc protrusion with moderate central canal stenosis , more to the left. ventral thecal sac and cord flattening. encroachment into left medial neural foramen with medial neural foraminal stenosis....in other words what exactly does this mean lol, my doctor "lost" his results before he can go over them with me so I went to get my results from the hospital but not sure what it all means
welcome to Health care magic. 1.That means the disc which is suppose to be in-between two vertebral bodies has moved posteriorly. 2.And causing pressure effect on the nerves and spinal chord posteriorly. 3.If that effect is there there will be symptoms like pain, tingling sensation , numbness are seen. 4.In order to get rid of these symptoms, one has to remove the cause. 5.According to severity, one will decide an intervention or simple exercise. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
