I had PTB on treatment from 1.2.2009 to 21.12.2009. LUL missing x ray before the start of treatment
and by 09/2009 resurfaced and did not show any lesion or scar or collapse. Weight regained.First attack of urti again in 02/2010,Second 11/2010 Third 02/11 Hemoptysis on 12/13/06/2011 Rx treated Tab Trenexa for 5 days.Hemoptysis again on 22-23-24/10/2011. Treated with inj revici ,inj zonamax,looks very healthy,All blood test normal,ESR 19 HB 15.6 . On iregular diabetic treatment sugar level 180 to 200. All tab[daonil,egucon or glyree 2] was inducing hypo after 5 hour.CT done on
26.10.11-HRCT THORAX WITH CECT-
A]COLLAPSE CONSOLIDAION WITHCAVITATION IN LUL
B]SUB SEGMENTAL ANTELECTASIS IN LINGUAL
C]TRACHEA MAJOR BRONCHI NORMAL.
D] HEART & VESSELS APPEAR NORMAL
E]NO EFFUSION
F]MILD LEFT PLEURAL THICKENING SEEN
G] NO MASS /ADENOPATHY SEEN
H] CHEST WALLS & BONES APPEAR NORMAL.

The chest Xray taken on 26/01/2009 left lung misssing and xray on 11/09/09 was almost normal but xray taken on 12/06/2011 showed LUL as affected radiologist report Koch S? Sputum AFB : Negative.
I have completed acuclav 625 for 7 days[finised on 08/011/11] now on glyree 2 and deriphylin 150

I want to know
a] If i am reinfected[at slow pace]
b] MDTB Case.
c]Irregual diabetic treatment is the cause
d] If you have heard of Xpert and where can i take the test in New delhi.
e]What should i do
I am a 44 year old and very,Very healthy looking.
I am at present doing nothing because of fear of not knowing what to do

Thanks for writing in.

After TB the lung is scarred in many patients. As you have diabetes and are on irregular treatment, subsequent lung infection risk is very high and that is what has happened. It doesnt look like you are re infected or have MDTB. You may show at Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, New Delhi which is a specialist government institute for chest diseases.
