Nausea, Vomiting Forcefully, Eating Disorder, Emotional Problems. Medical Attention Required?

my son has a 14 year old friend (girl) who is regulalry making herslef sick and we suspect has an eating disorder . She is just about recognising that she has a problem but refuses to tell her parents - or school etc who would also tell her parents. We think emotional problems may arise from a difficult home life - is there anything we can do other than try and persuade her to talk to her family?

Hi m.rai,

The problem you are describing can be some sort of pychological problem related to eating disorder. This is mainly common in females in there teen age which find that there is some problem with weight and there are so much psychologically disturbed with that, that it ended up in problem with eating.
I would suggest you to talk to her to make confirm that she is having some sort of thinking related to her weight and anyother relevant thing. After recognization of the problem only it is possible to have a psychological evalution and than management according to condition can be done.

Thanks and take care

hi there,
am dr.surendran
nice to meet you here in HCMagic

the three things ,which makes a child go sick are

1 – Lack of sleep

2 – Stress

3 – Lack of high quality nutrition

child’s sleeping patterns are very important.  I know it’s a lot easier to let them stay up than having to deal with the kicking and screaming.  But after just two weeks of dealing with the craziness of putting them on a schedule, life will be a lot calmer for you and your child.

Just like adults, it is important to get peaceful and restful sleep.  There is no excuse for loud noises when anyone is sleeping, especially your child.  Sleep is definitely one way to avoid your child from always getting sick.

No matter our age, we feel stress, which means so does your child.  Nourishing your child’s Adrenal Glands during these times is highly recommended
hope i helped with your query,
with regards dr.surendiran [hcmagic]
