Hi.
Heartburn for several years is indicative of a condition called GERD and intermittent episodes of nausea, stomach pains and burping up foam can be due to additional problems like intestinal infection, small intestinal pathology and so on.
Gallbladder disease should also be considered in such cases.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation, clinical examination and relevant investigations to know the exact cause so that a proper diagnosis can be made.
Also take a
second opinion of a Gastroenterologist.
You need the following:
Upper GI Endoscopy.
Barium contrast studies with CT scan.
Tests of blood, stool and urine.
All these will lead to a proper diagnosis.
A PPI like
Pantoprazole and
Domperidone for motility regulation may be required.
Further management as per the diagnosis made can help you to get a relief and possible cure.
Also needed are lifestyle changes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
General Surgeon
