Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I keep feeling nauseous, on the verge of vomiting but never actually do. This has been on an off for years. When it gets bad i also get dizzy and feel faint a lot, and recently I have been sleeping a lot more than normal, sometimes for about 15 hours a day. This is now affecting my full time job as i feel too nauseous to be there. I also have a phobia of vomit, which makes this all the more harder for me to handle.
Hi
Thanks for your query.
If you are a female of reproductive age group you should exclude pregnancy by doing urinary beta-hCG level.
Otherwise hypertension and diabetes have to be excluded. You should check your blood pressure and if its increased then it needs to be controlled by anti-hypertensive
You should have fasting and post-prandial blood testing to exclude diabetes.
Sometimes liver disorder can lead to such scenario for that you need to have lever function testing.
If all these tests are normal then you should consult a psychiatrist.
Along with these you can take pantoprazole orally twice before food along with domstal 10 mg thrice before food for relief.
Thank you.
