Nausea, Dizziness, Intestinal Cramps, Stomach Pains. Any Ideas?

I have had severe nausea, dizziness, and what feels like small intestinal cramps. I thought I had food poisoning last week, but it has come back the same this week with more dizziness, nausea has lessened, but the stomach pains and dizziness are worse. I am able to keep food down and have been making sure I drink lots of water.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C..M. Forum.
This is very difficult to evaluate diagnosis without age & sex of patient.
Mere mentioning dizziness and nausea ,stomach pain is not sufficient.
Still I will try to reply.
As you stated that there is nausea, dizziness, stomach pain may be due to,
1 Hyper acidity or gastritis or peptic ulcer disease or Hiatus hernia. Can be confirmed by Upper G I endoscopy.
Try raising the head of your bed about 4 inches with blocks. It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for two hour before you lie down. To help control stomach acid one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them or eat chocolates or spicy or greasy food. Also take some antacid but if symptoms severe ( as in your case dizziness )then you may need drugs like proton pump inhibitors..
2 May be due to Mineire's disease as nausea and dizziness are the characteristic features of this disease , so for this consult an E N T and get his opinion.
3 Hypotension & hypertension may also develops such type of symptoms so get in blood examination for heart problem then consult a physician and get his opinion.
Good luck.
