Nausea, bloating, weight loss, constipation. History of hemmorhoids

I have been dealing with nausea , bloating and I have lost weight. I went to the ER with my symptoms they did a X-Ray for a Bowel Obstruction which was negative, and they did bloodwork as well, everything was normal except my potasium was 2.9. I have also had constipation for the last 4 days. I m 41 yrs old and had a colonoscopy 10 years ago for bleeding, which turned out to be hemmoroids.

Thank you for the query.

Your symptoms make you suspicious for colon cancer. Weight lost, constipations, bloating and nausea indicates it. It is said that it takes approximately 10 year for colon cancer development. So colonoscopy should be performed every 10 years (in people over 50). And this is what you should do. Colonoscopy will rule any large intestine pathology including the cancer. If no findings, upper GI endoscopy and abdominal CT with oral contrast (enteroclysis) should be done.

Hope this will help.
