Natural Remedies For Insomnia In A Woman Who Had TAH/BSO 8 Wks Before?

Hello....I am new to this website but was wondering if there are alternatives for insomnia? I am taking Benadryl and Melatonin to help but wondered if there are any natural remedies that have worked for other women? I am 8 weeks postop for a TAH/BSO. Initially, I was only getting maybe an hour of sleep and it has gotten better but still having interrupted sleep. Thanks for any information!

Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum.
The reasons for insomnia may be the anxiety, tension, some pains,or day time sleep.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such condition, the hypnotics, which cause the normal sleep. And treat the pain if any.
I advise to avoid day time sleep, and to work at least light work daily.Ask to take warm milk before bed.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to have blood, general health and resistance against infections.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
