Hi,
Thrombosis is a condition where a clot is formed in a deeply seated vein in body ,usually leg.
The reason can be any thing that hampers blood circulation /blood clotting .
It's realy good that you have managed with the condition for 8 yrs. Keep it up!
Here are some tips which may help you.
1) you need to take your wife to your dr. frequently-for any modifications in your medicines.Take the medicines prescribed regularly.
2)Watch vit. K you are taking, it may affect action of blood thinner.so avoid vit K rich diet like-green vegetables,,canola greens. soya bean oil.
3)Have reular mild exercises daily.
4)Avoid staying in same posture (sitting.-driving,travelling) for along time. -Try to move, Exercise your calf muscles Or hands in between .
5) life style changes- You havent mentioned her height. Reduce weight if it's more for height, quit smoaking, control blood pressure.
6)wear compression stalkings after consulting your doctor.
7)Avoid injury,bleeding-if you are on blood thinners.
Hope, this would be helpful to you.
Take care.
Thanks.
