My Son Aged 36yrs, Fell Very Heavily On His Back
My son aged 36yrs, fell very heavily on his back and hit his head hard on the ground ( soccer field)..he says he felt his brain vibrate in his skull. He was very dizzy at first but says it has now eased and sleepiness has passed. Headache has eased since taking Panadeine Extra about 2 hours ago. Should we let him sleep now..what should we watch for??

As you have said your son had a hot on his head while in soccer field, and feeling of brain floating in skulll is a feature of post consussion syndrome, in that a person feels his brain is in water , mmild memory loss, headache , increased sleepiness with insomnia, i would suggest following to observe for x 2 days:
1. check for any fits
2.difficulty to speak
3.vomiting or nausea
4.headache
5,confused talk
6because above symptoms will indicate bleed in brain and a ct scan would require, to see it, rush to ER.

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your son has sustained sport injury (Head Injury) while playing.
You have to observe him specifically any change in level of consciousness and developing any new localising signs like weakness in any part of body,vomiting, fever etc.
