My baby is 11 months old now but she s had 8 colds in 2 months. This time her cough is quite severe during the night and she cant sleep well. She also has an ear infection. We went to the doctor and her oxygen is 100% and breathing but she did have a high fever of 39.6C.

Check around her bed for mold or mildew. Kill it with bleach but be sure to air out the room before putting her to sleep in there afterwards. Treat the infection with what a doctor prescribes for antibiotics and/or with 1ml of a mixture of 3 tablespoons warm water with .25ml of oil of oregano (morning and night) as it helps get rid of infections in the body and feed yogurt and lots of liquids. Also give vitamin D daily as prescribed on the bottle for enfants. Vitamin D boosts their immune system. 15 minutes of sun per day also give the required amount of Vitamin D per day. Also use saline on the nose and dab vapour rub to help breathing at night. Prop the child's head up with a pillow too but make sure they are safe and will not turn over and suffocate.
Pediatrician Dr. Vibin K V's  Response
hi,
your child must be having something called as a viral brochiolitis or jus a simple viral upper respiratory infection. she will need an examination by a pediatrician. if there is no fast breathing or chest retraction & child is feeding well, please donot worry. if there is any wheezing child might need a cough syrup(bronchodilator) or nebulisation to comfort her. her difficulty to sleep might be just because of her nasal block. use saline nasal drops & keep cleaning her nose, she should feel better. if you using any bottle feed with nipple on, please stop doing that. feeding with a bottle can be responsible for recurrent episodes of cold & cough.she should improve in a week
