My 6 Months Baby Is Suffering From Nose Congestion In Night Only. Can I Give DILO-BM Syrup ?
please advice My little boy of age 6 months suffering from nose congestion in night only. I have consulted a doctor he advice me to give DILO-BM syrup 2ml 3 times a day for 7 days. i want to know if any side effects associated with this drug.

Dilo-BM is a syrup which contains :
Ambroxol-a mucolytic
Terbutiline-a bronchodilator
Guaiphenesine and menthol
So if your doctor has advised you can use it for cold ;cough .Like all medicines have side effects but it happens only on prolonged and unnecessary use of medicine.Presently you can use it as advised and if there is no relief in 7days then consult the doctor personally for examination.

Kindly consult a pediatrician even for minor problems in infants.
Usually DILo-BM is not given to infants unless ther is difficuty in breathing suggested by decreased feeding n sleep and wheeze found on chest auscultation.It is safer to try saline nose drops for relieving nasal congestion n then go for such syp if congestion persists.but a short course prescribed by the doctor who has examined the baby will not b considered harmful.
