My 1 Year 10 Months Old Baby Has Fever With Primary Complex
i have 1 yr and 10 mos old baby boy he got cough wks ago we gave him antbtc and meds for cough but nothings change after a week he got fever we consult a dr and gave him a strong antbtc fever was gone but cough and runny nose was still there we xrayed him and found out he got primary complex hes taking 3 days now of anti tuberculusis drug but the fever was still there what shd we do/

hi,thanks for query.There is no need to worry,anti tuberculous may take about 7 days to control fever,give him proper liquids and good food to eat.He need to continue this drugs till your doctor advises.You need to give fever medications as per need along with this drugs.

First of all let me tell u that tuberculosis is completely curable, just u need to take complete course of medications. give ur child anti-pyretic drugs like paracetamol for fever. allow time for anti TB drugs to act. Some anti TB drugs causes flu like syndrome or discoloration of urine, should not discontinue medications if u notice these symptoms. consult ur doctors if u notice any other adverse effects with regard to anti TB drugs.
Dont worry fever and other symptoms will improve with due course of time. Allow time for medications to act... take care bye.....
