Muscle Twitching, Feeling Like Locked Jaw, Got Pin Pricked By Rusty Nail. Taken Tetanus Shot Years Back. Suggestions?

I got pinpricked 8 days ago by a dirty rusty nail in the street, I didn't treat the wound well just make it bleed a litlle (a couple of drops of blood) and that's it. I got my last Tetanus shot 6 years ago but still I'm scared that I might get the disease. I have Muscle twitching and my jaw feel a little locked at times (near the ear). What can I do? Could this be just anxiety?

Suspecting the prick was rsiky deserves you take the tetanus serum shot to be on the safe side. A formal clinical evaluation by a physician, with approriate testing on clinical grounds in relation to tetanus might be necessary for an early institution of treatment if need be. However, other pathologies could still presnet in the same manner. Low calcium levels in blood also have similar manifestations and measured the blood calcium levels might be necessary. Consult your pphysician for a proper clinical evaluation and testing. early management shall certainly guarantee a good outcome.
