Mucus In Chest. Is It Bronchitis? White In Color. Meaning?

hello doctor have mucus in my chest i have checked with generla specialist they have clear that i have either bronchist or elrergy problem after seeing my exxray. i hve used clamox,clarinex, guipsion like this but useles the problem is only mucus it comes a lot , its colour is either white or green type. can u help me please

Hello and thank you for posting your query on HCM
You have mentioned that you are getting white or green coloured mucus/sputum.
The green coloured sputum is produced in infection with Pseudomonas, which is a bacteria.
For confirming infection with Pseudomonas you have get the culture done for the mucus.
Secondly, for a diagnosis of bronchitis to be made there should be cough with sputum production for atleast 3 months in consecutive 2 years. Bronchitis can be superimposed by various infections including Pseudomonal infection.
For, allergy there should of appearance of symptoms in particular season or exposure to a particular agent.
