Homeopath Dr. Swati Ramkumar's  Response
Dear Gouri,
There are lots of variations found in the bowel habits of infants and young children. Kindly mention since how long has she been suffering from hard stools? has there been any change in her eating habits or have you introduced any new food?
Avoid giving her too much of fast foods and encourage good eating habits. Include fresh fruits, rather than fruit juices as it contains more fiber. Avoid giving apple and pomegranate. Give her more water. Oats, black grapes(kishmish) is also known to help.
You may give her homeopathic medicine SILICEA 6X 2 pills 2 times a day for 3 days. If the condition does not improve, my suggestion would be to take her to a homeopath, who can prescribe after a detailed case history.
Keep me posted about her condition.
