Missing Period, Negative Pregnancy Tests. Had Unprotected Sex, Taken Norlevo. Suggestions?
hi. my girlfriend had a period last mont on 9th and on the day 3rd of this month we had an unprotected intercourse which didnt ended with ejaculation inside. After that about 1 and a half days my gf used a norlevo. The problem is that she still didnt have period as it is 20th of the monnth. In addition 5 days before today we made a urine based pregnancy test and resulted negative. What do you think.? Thank you
You did unprotected sex in relatively safe period if previous cycle was regular. After one & half days, norlevo gives protection more than 85% against unwanted pregnancy. Period may be delayed due to effect of the pill and mental stress.
Here, you need to undergo one blood test for beta-hCG to confirm pregnancy. Early pregnancy test is less significant. TVS scan is also helpful to rule out other pathology.
After that, you need to consult with gynecologist for suggestive treatment.
Practice safe sex in future. Good luck.
