Missed Periods For 2 Months Even After Taking Prescribed Duphaston, Occasional White Discharge. Sexually Inactive. Suggest

Hi, I am a 23 year old female. I have a boyfriend but we have not had intercourse, so I am still a virgin. I last got my period on September 1st week, and since then I've missed 2 periods that were due. I am really worried. I went to a doctor last week and she prescribed me Duphaston 10mg. I took it 3 times for 5 days, but I've still not got my period. I have no signs of irritation or any sort of health problem otherwise (no cramping, no spotting). Have a white discharge occasionally. Please tell me what is the reason I've not yet gotten my period.

Hi,
Since you have never had an intercourse and not even got intimate, you need not worry about getting pregnant. The cause of the present condition could perhaps be some hormonal imbalance. You can expect a withdrawal bleed 3-7 days after completion of hormonal treatment. This ensures that your uterus is responding well to hormones and such treatment also acts as a kick back to your ovaries. If you do not see your period even after one week, you would need further investigation for appropriate management. Please maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet. Hope this helps.
