The findings seen on ultrasound
should be correlated with clinical findings. The sonogram findings give a picture of a benign tumor
of the ovary, most likely a multilocular serous cystadenoma
. Smooth margins, absence of irregular solid areas, thin septa and the absence of ascites
go in favor of a benign lesion. most often, ovarian cysts go on their own. Treatment depends on the diagnosis and the extent of symptoms. Treatment is mostly surgical if the cyst does not spontaneously regress. Avoid smoking, birth control pills, fertility
drugs and maintain a healthy body weight. Please consult your health care professional for further advice. Wish you speedy recovery.
