Missed Periods. Severe Pain With Bleeding. Pregnancy Blood Test Negative. Thick Uterine Wall. Missed Period Due To Hormonal Imbalance?

hi my cycle is always 28 days this month i missed my period and after ten days of missing i started passing small clots and i got my period. the pain was excruciating i went to a gyna i did blood pregnancy test it was negative i did a scan and my uterus wall was thick so he told me i just missed my period maybe coz of hormonal imbalance i dont understand

Thanks for query,
Your delayed period was due to hormonal imbalance.
At the age of puberty & then after our brains Pitutary gland releases precursors that ordered our adrenal gland to produce sex hormones.
The level of this hormones in blood at different period of cycle is responsible for ovulation ,preparation of uterus flow of blood say your menstrual cycle.
Any abnormality in this level causes delay periods.
This may be due to tension.Anxiety,Shift duty,long working hours,or any ovarian disease.
This cause you delayed bleeding .
