Hi vasuk,
Leukemias occur due to a number of reasons such as genetic mutations, exposure to radiation, this can be a part of various familial diseases also. There are good anti cancer drugs available with good cure rates. This depends on the type of leukemia you have. Chemotherapy or radiotherapy depends on the stage and type of cancer. Consume Plenty of fruits, greens. wish you a speedy recovery
Take care

General & Family Physician Dr. Padma Saikia's  Response
Hi Vasuki,
Welcome to HCM.
The exact cause of leukemia is not known. There is two types acute and chronic. It also depends on the cell myelocytes or lymphocytes.Treatment of leukemia depends on the type of leukemia, certain features of the leukemia cells, the extent of the disease, and prior history of treatment, as well as the age and health of the patient.leukemia are treated with chemotherapy. Some patients also may have radiation therapy and/or bone marrow transplantation.
Take care.

hello
sorry to hear about blood cancer.
you are talking about ACUTE MYELOID LEUKEMIA.this is not an easy cancer to treat and certainly not good to have.there is no cure and no diet will help. chemotherapy, radiotherapy for spread, bone marrow transplant are the options given according to age ,extent of the disease.
there are genetic changes in persons genes which make him more prone to develop such cancers.it is not a common problem.
all i can suggest is follow your doctors advise and go to CMC urgently.
