Mild Cold, Cough, Had Fever. On Homeopathic Medication, Prescribed Crocin And Augmentin. Will This Work?
Dr. Hi, My son is 4 years old and he has mild cold and cough since over 2 months now. He is on homeopathic medicines for 2 years now. This was not bother some until last 7 days. He had fever around 102 deg, and we took him to doctor. He was prescribed crocin and a mild antibiotic for 5 days. His course got over 2 days before and the next day he again has fever going to 102+ deg. The doctor says infection has increased and has now prescribed Augmentin DDS and nebulisation. I am worried why the previous antibiotic didn't work.
Also, my son has this cough cold fever every 3 months. Anything I need to get checked

on the homeopathic medicine since 2year and cold cough and fever over 2month not sound good..child need through investigation including chest x-ray it seems chest infection possibly (pneumonia) your doctor very rightly started Antibiotics(Augmentin)and other supportive treatment.you must take care of fever..if fever 102+do the sponging with normal tap water and bring the fever down soon....ask for any furthure clarification happy to help you.thank
