Menopausal. Lymphoma Cancer. Done Chemotherapy. Done Pap Smear. Cause Of Cervix Enlargement?

I am 57 years old, and am into menopause since I was 36 years old, due to chemotherapy for Lymphoma cancer. I am a 2 time survivor of lymphoma cancer. We have discovered back in 1993 that I have a cyst on my right ovary. It has grown up to 3 cm, and this past year it shows as ill defined. I have had pelvic and trans-vagina ultrasounds for the past several years because of it. Two years ago, I had a bacterial infection, which we cleared up with medication. This years tests show the pap smear as fine, the cyst still ill-defined and something new. My cervix is enlarged. I have not been engaged in sexual intercourse for a while, so it couldn't be from that. I have an appointment with my Ob Gyn this week. Can you advise what would cause my cervix to become enlarged, and what tests he will be inclined to do reference to this?

Hi,
Cervical swelling may be due to some inflammation. Clinical examination to test the the consistency, surface, tenderness associated with this swelling is necessary. Ovarian cysts are commonly benign , any malignant counterpart if at all present can be suspected from imaging. If any clinical suspicion your doctor may ask for abdominal imaging but cervix has to be evaluated clinically. Nothing to worry right now. follow your gynaecologists' advise.
