Meniscal Repair Surgery Few Months Ago. Sharp Pain. Waring Crutches, Knee Brace. Crutches/surgery?

Hi, 4 months ago I had meniscal repair surgery, went back to sports, everything was fine. The other day, I squatted down and got a sharp pain in my leg so bad I could straighten my leg or walk, went to emergency, they thought I retore my meniscus. Now wearing a huge knee brace and crutches. 3 days later, have full range of motion, but still severe and constant pain in side of knee. Can walk on it for short periods of time but hurts. Should I still use crutches and do you think it was another medial meniscal tear?

Welcome at HCM.

I have read your query.

It looks from your details that you are having severe pain at your knee after menisci surgery.

Your present symptoms suggests that most probably you have again injured or torn your menisci.Looking at all details ,i shall advice you to consult to your doctor again & have a MRI of your knee to know about the present status of your problem.

Till then you should use brace & crutches.
