Memory Loss, Forgetting Names Of Places. Taking Chrono 300 In The Night After Eating. Side Effects Of Medication?

sir, i am taking encorate chrono 300 once in a night after meals as advised .Now I am 24 years old doctor advised continue the medicine .My question is is there any side effect causing for life long intake of medicine. Now sleeping for around 9hours probably from 11pm to 9 am.some time some memory loss also happen like forgetting names of places on journey .

Enchorate chrono contains sodium valporate. It is a very good anti epileptic drug. Its normally prescribed dosing is 300-600mg per day. Usually it is devoid of any serious side effect. In few cases nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, ataxia, dizziness, sedation etc. are seen. But at dosing of 300 mg per day side effects like you have mentioned as memory loss, forgetting names are not seen. So please visit your psychiatrist for proper evaluation of symptoms of memory loss, decreased sleep.
