Ok, here goes, I was diagnosed with a yeast infection on my tongue and the oral surgeon that I went to prescribed a antibotic that I would suck and I think I needed to take it 5 xs a day for 2 weeks. I went to see my GP today and I was telling her that I still have problems with my tongue she looked into the meds that I am taking and she thinks it may be from the Pantoprazole SOD which I m taking 40 mg 2 x a day. She prescribed a different med for my GERD and an antibotic for the tongue thrush. Have you heard that Pantoprazole causes tongue problems.

Hello.Yeast infection is not usual side effect of Pantoprazole. However, to say that the maximum recommended dose of pantoprazole is 40 mg per day.
If your doctor thinks that you have yeast infection, antibiotic is not right treatment, the treatment is antifungal drugs as Fluconazole.
