Mechanical Pencil Poked In Wrist, Little Bleeding, Wrist And Hands Become Numb

i was writing with a mechanical pencil and accidentally poked around the bottom of my wrist . the pencil s tip punctured my skin enough to draw a little blood . the area around my wrist and hands became kind of numb and felt like they were falling asleep a few minutes after it happened. Im wonding if it is unusual for me to be feeling numbing after having this happen.
