Meaning Of Chest X-ray Findings Showing Prominent Bronchopulmonary Vascular Markings Possible Reactive Airway Disease
My husband s chest x-ray findings were prominent bronchopulmonary vascular markings are present with mild increased interstitial markings involving the hilum bilaterally. No pleural effusion and no pneumothorax. Impression: reactive airway disease. Air trapping present. He is 58 years old and the doctor prescribed Advair. We had been on vacation and had been exposed to chlorine in a hot tub a few times and cats for 2 weeks. Our woodstove had a leak that we have fixed but was problematic a few weeks prior for a few days. Advair is quite expensive but we are more concerned if this is a short term situation or long term and degenerative disease. We did not get much explanation from the doctor regarding the x-ray results.
