Meaning Of Absolute Monocyte Level?

I am 26, height 5 3, weight 130lbs. I have HSV 1 and 2. I got a CBC and my absolute monocytes were 176. It was for nursing school the doctor didnt mentioned anything about it so I wanted him to clear me and I didnt mentioned anything. But what does it mean? Should I be worried about it?

Welcome to health care magic.
My dear friend monocytes are responsible for phagocytosis (ingestion) of foreign substances in the body.Absolute value or Absolute monocyte count normal value is 120 - 880/µl .
Its good that your count is within normal limit.
In certain disorders like An increased percentage of monocytes may be due to:
hronic inflammatory disease,Leukemia,Parasitic infection,Tuberculosis
Viral infection its value can increases.
I want to say you that you not need to worry about your monocytes count.
Thanx for query.
