Mark On Upper Lips Due To Scratch. Used Topical Steroid Cream. Will Medication Remove Scar?

A light scartch on my outer skin has left a mark on my upper lips which is faintly visible. Its been 5-6 days since it happened. Iam using a topical steroid cream on this portion because of skin darkening. Will the medication cause the small scar to remain as it is or will it also work on the scar? Is there a particular medicine that i can use while the scar is still fresh?
