MRI Of Brain Done. What Does Result Suggest?

today my mother did a MRI and then her brain tumor has detected.i dont understand the report therefore i am writing that is witten in the report..."Extraaxial lobulated strongly enhanching T1 iso T2 slightly hyperintense mass measuring about 2.6 cm AP* 2.6 cmRL * 2.0 cm CC is seen in supracellar region elevation the optic chiasma.
on T2WI and FLAIR images hyperintense foci are noted in sub-cortical & deep white matter of both cerebral hemispheres, suggesting microvascular chronic ischemic changes in these location.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM
MRI report suggests that there is extra axial (outside the axial region of brain) rounded mass measuring about 2.6 cm AP* 2.6 cmRL * 2.0 cm CC lesion in suprasellar region of brain which enhanced strongly on contrast administration and lesion is causing elevation of optic chiasma .It may be meningioma.
On T 2 weighted images and FLAIR images( these are normal signals used in MRI technique),there is ischemic regions(due to chronic decreased blood supply) in sub-cortical & deep white matter of both cerebral hemispheres
Hope you have understand the terms.
Take Care
