Hi, thanks for asking to Healthcare Magic.
Type 1 Acromio clavicular separation or shoulder separation is often referred to as spasm as there will be no ligament tear or fracture. Fall on tip of shoulder results in this type of injury. Shoulder joint is formed by the junction of collar bone (clavicle), shoulder blade(scapula) and arm bone (humerus).
Prominence or lump is due to the protrusion of acromian, the end of scapula. This is due to either injury or laxity of ligament supporting the acromian. This ligament is affected as you have fallen on your shoulder resulting in indirect transmission of force to scapula.
Repeat X-Ray will confirm the diagnosis. Take anti inflammatory drugs like Aceclofenac and apply ice packs if you have pain. Otherwise supervised physiotherapy exercises to strengthen muscles and to improve blood circulation will be helpful. Exercise for rotation movements should be started later.
I hope this is useful to you.
