Lump on the knee. Had knee injuries in the past. Is there a damage to bone?

Hey i have played football for many years, recently i have gotten a couple of knee injuries! like most injuries i figure they will just go away! for the last couple months when i straighten out my leg i can feel a lump on the left knee on the outer part of my knee away from the knee cap! Any idea if i torn something or what this may be from?

Thanks for posting your query.

It might be due to bursal inflamation or tendinitis.There might be possibility of ligament strain or tear.
I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the X-ray/MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.
