Lump On Neck Behind Ear, Not Cancer, Taking Antibiotics. Cause?

My daughter s teacher has a noticeable lump on the right side of her neck , beneath her ear. Now a second one has presented on the left side, still beneath the ear but further back, towards the hairline. She has had a biopsy and it is NOT cancer . Her doctor is putting her on a second course of steroids and antibiotics and wants to do an intensive blood panel on her. What could be causing these lumps?

These could be lymph nodes... they grow in size in many conditions like infections and cancer....but biopsy already rulled out cancer....it must be some infection that your doctor want to find out...so pls go ahead with blood tests...get well soon
