Lump In The Center Of The Head, Loss Of Memory, Deafness After Getting Hair Weaved. Suggestions?

Hi I went to the shop to get a sew-in (weave) and the guy who did my hair braided my braids and sewed in the hair really tight. After he finish my head was really sore. (I would have taken it down but it was really expensive) A month and two weeks later I took it down I notice a lump at the crown/center of my head and I had a dent stretching almost to my lower head. I also have been experiencing memory lost, slow responding while talking and hearing lose in one of my ears.

Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.

After reading your query let me reassure you first that your hair weaving has nothing to do do with loss of memory and deafness. Hair are superficial structures and do not cross our skull bone. The features of loss of memory and deafness are related to problem inside the brain and near the internal ear present inside the skull. It will be better to consult a neurologist to rule out any sort of pathology in brain or ear.
Now for the swelling on the scalp might be due to simple inflammation of the hair root only. A course of antibiotics such as Cefixime or Amoxycilline under medical advice would be worth taking. Do not try to pinch or squeeze the swelling.

With good health wishes
