Lump In Groin, No Pain. What Is It?

hi what could be a lump in the right side groin area but up a bit more to where the undie line is(my underwear cover it(on the thigh side and the top of undie)? Its been there for years as far back as i was young enough to remember? im now 21 i would say i was 6 or 7 im to scared to go to doctor now im 21 so its never been checked out. it does not hurt and i can actually push it in to back to normal but it comes straight back out(feels like a fluid/ tissue ) but when i lay down it goes down aswell, until i get up. ive had two children and it was never a problem with pregnancy or labor and they did not realise it?

Hi thanks for your question.
Since the swelling is reducible, disappears on lying dawn and appears on standing postion. These are features of congential hernia Most probably you are having congenital hernia what is called as right indirect inguinal hernia. There is nothing to worry. Consult a general surgeon and get it operated.it is small surgical procedure of about half an hour.Otherwise some day it can lead to intestinal obstruction.
Hope this answers your question.
