hi..
you have swelling in the groin and it becomes bigger with coughing could be hernia..
this may be missed when you got ultrasound done in reducible hernia, it goes inside when you lie down..
see your surgeon for clinical examination and treatment (surgery).
all the very best..

General & Family Physician Dr. Ramesh M.Vachharajani's  Response
Hi,
Your history is very typical and it is very suggestive of having reducible, uncomplicated indirect inguinal hernia.
Consult surgeon and get examined.
Avoid constipation and coughing as it precipitate hernia to come out.
You may require surgery after diagnosis.
Ok and take care.
