Lump In Breast, Big And Painful. Done Biopsy, Negative. Worry?

I have had needle aspirations of the same lump in my right breast twice. I am 53 and do have a history of breast cancer and numerous other types of cancer in my family. Every mammogram and biopsy has come back negative over the past 5 years for this lump. It usually gets so big and painful and they just drain it and it goes away. It is not as big now but when I lift my arm I feel pain shooting to the site of the lump and even deeper. I have no insurance now and make just enough money not to be able to get help with another biopsy. I have been told pain is usually a sign that every thing is fine and I can live control the pain with OTC medication for now. Should I be worried about this new pain?

Oncologist, Surgical 's  Response
Dear Ma'am,

Sorry to hear about your problem. By your history it seems that you are suffering from fibrocystic disease and the swelling which the doctors keep draining is a cyst. Fortunately, this condition subsides as you approach menopause (the few months to years before menopause, the pain can be quite intense). As the lump has been biopsied multiple times, there is no need to be scared about malignancy.
You should continue your regular visits (yearly) to the breast surgeon.

Hoping for the best.
