Lump Below Hairline, Sore To Touch, Hair Loss, Uncomfortable Feeling While Tilting Head. Diabetic. Anything To Worry?

Hi ,
I found a lump just below my hairline at back of my neck. I'm worried.
It is sore to the touch.
There is no pus its just a lump and the skin isnt red or inflamed and have also recently noticed when I wash my hair, alot of stands of hair I am losing.
Also if I tilt my head forward or back Its not sore, just uncomfortable.
What do you think?
Should I be worried?
I am also a type 1 diabetic
