Lump At The Back Of Head, Tingly Numbness, Stretching Sensation. Should I Be Concerned?

i have a lump on the back of my head that has been there for a couple of yeas but seems more significant or larger recently, have kind of dismissed it to be honest as nothing to worry about. Recently (last two weeks) i have started to feel a tingly numbness just above this lump (lump at base of skull near to top of neck) and a strange feeling almost like stretching around the tingly. I am not the nervous kind and to be honest im happy to leave this to see if it goes away, could it be anything to worry about? Thanks

Hello,

The swelling is there for more than 2 years and it was not progressing.
Recently it increases in size and there is numbness.
The most common swelling in that area may be lipoma.
It is a benign swelling of fat tissue.
Another possibility is that it may be a sebaceous cyst.
The changes may be due to any pressure effect or due to any infection.
Consult a surgeon for further evaluation.
