Lump At Base Of Throat. What Could It Be?

Hi I have a lump at the base of my throat it changes size throughout the day sometimes I can really feel it (size of a walnut) some othertimes it is like it s gone What could it be ?GP prescribed ultrasounds that I won t have until after Xmas . She suspects thyroid issues ( blood test results came back fine for thyroid ) thanks

The symptoms you described indicates a problem in esophagus but not in thyroid. Because, in case of thyroid, it should be same throughout the day.

So, better to go for upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy.
