Lower Stomach Pain, Bloating, Back Pain. Had Miscarriage Last Month. UTI?
hello im 22 years old and i experienced my first miscarriage last month and i missed my follow up appointment because i thought i expelled everything myself. For the past couple days i having sharp lower stomach pains, bloating, and back pain. The pain increases when i take use pressure to use the bathroom. I really dont want to sit in the e.r for hours for them to tell me i have a UTI. Does my symptoms point towards this or something more?
Hello thanks for your query. IT is a must to have a follow up appointment after a miscarriage. This is important to rule out retained products of conception. If they are undiagnosed, they can lead to florid pelvic infection, uterine scarring and other complications. You could easily take a urine routine microscopic and culture test to exclude a UTI. But please finish your follow up to rule out infection in the pelvis due to retained tissue. All the best.
