I would suggest you apply a pain relief gel like volini
gel on the affected back region. 15 minutes later apply hot fomentation to the affected back region. If this doesn't help, you could take a naproxen
tab after food.
In the meantime, do not lift heavy objects. Once the injury
has completely healed, you might want to do some back strengthening exercises to prevent it from happening again.
