Hi and thanks for the query, Uterine cancer has specific diagnostic criteria. It also depends on the stage of the disease. Generally, it manifests itself mainly through uterine bleeding at an early stage. A visualizing of the uterus (hysteroscopy) and sampling of the uterine tissue for pathological diagnosis is necessary for diagnosing uterine cancer. An abdominal ultrasound tells us the size, consistency and state of the neighboring structures, and gives an idea of any spread or not. I do suggest you consult your gynecologist for a physical examination first, and tests and other examinations shall be prescribed based on the clinical findings. Thanks and kind regards, Bain LE, MD
