Lower Abdominal Pain. Feeling Like Cervix Or Tampon. On Birth Control. Suggestions?

hello im a 14 year old girl and im not sexualy active but i was awoken by my lower stomic hurting and it felt like when a tampon is inserted incorrectly and when i did a self check i think i felt my cervix but how do i know if its my cervix or a forgotten tampon i was on my period last week and was put on birth control exactly 5 weeks ago please help im really worried. thank you

Thanks for posting your query. When you check yourself, if you can find the tail or string of the tampon , pull it out. If not seek medical advice immediately, as a tampon left behind for a long time can cause infection which could have serious consequences rarely(Toxic Shock Syndrome).Hope this helps, Take care!
